This is just one of the lots of terrible videos that show to which extent the California fires have turnt into. 220 people are classed as missing and 42 people have now been pronounced dead.


This map shows the location of the Camp, Hill and Woolsey fires in California. In total, 44 people have died in the blazes

There has been animals who have been burnt and terribly injured, remains are found in cars, many houses have been destroyed including celebrities such as Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke

In my opinion this is hard news and it is not clickbait seeing as this is a very sensitive topic which could harm a large amount of people. There has been lives lost and this also environmentally damages California seeing as the fire is reaching a large amount of land 

News Values:

In terms of news values I think this is a surprise for many because no one thought that a fire this big would occur and destroy the lives of thousands

Also immediacy seeing as it is currently happening and we are being updated on every little fact

1) Social learning theory has been criticised for simplifying the causes of violence in society. Do you think the media is responsible for anti-social behaviour and violence? - I think that anti-social behavior and violence can be partially blamed on media but not fully because there is other things that can result in people becoming violent. For example the upbringing of a person or past experiences could have a large impact on the way they act however some people could be very passive or be intruiged by villains in movies. 2) How is social learning theory relevant in the digital age?
