The cover lines create enigma codes. They empower women. The second page features a double spread of a woman holding up a sign of 'empowering women' and the magazine is clearly a feminist magazine. This issue is named 'Strength' which gives further clues of what is inside the pages.

4) Write an analysis of the central image.

The central image features a woman. It is only a shot of her face therefore she is not being sexualised because of her body showing she is also wearing sophisticated clothing and barely any makeup. The image is photographed in an artistic way, highlighting the creative nature of the magazine.

The model they have chosen does not look very feminine which i believe has been done intentionally to represent gender fluidity and going against what magazines usually show on front covers. It is highlighting the point that gender is a performance.
