The Voice: Stars speak out about R Kelly

A documentary was aired on BBC reporting among the life of R Kelly and his shameful experiences with underage girls, different women spoke out about their traumatising experiences with R Kelly and how he would physically and mentally abuse them. This documentary was posted all over social media and was made viral, Different stars such as Meek Mill, Omarion, Jada Pinkett and Chance the Rapper expressed their feelings and how disgusted they were by his actions.

I class this as hard news as it affected plenty lives and young girls, many people could relate to the abuse these young girls experienced which goes on to why they'd read it.

People would read this for Personal Identity, Relationships and Surveillance:

Personal identity: People may have experienced similar things as the girls and feel they can relate 

Surveillance: Seeing as this is a viral story people want to keep up.

1) Social learning theory has been criticised for simplifying the causes of violence in society. Do you think the media is responsible for anti-social behaviour and violence? - I think that anti-social behavior and violence can be partially blamed on media but not fully because there is other things that can result in people becoming violent. For example the upbringing of a person or past experiences could have a large impact on the way they act however some people could be very passive or be intruiged by villains in movies. 2) How is social learning theory relevant in the digital age?
